Jorn Ari received a Gold Medal in the prestigious competition by Underwater Photography.com.
It's the most coveted prize because it says Jorn Ari succeeded in the most competive environment there is, against the top talent of the moment.
In the category “Tempered Water” Jorn Ari's picture went up against 10,283 images in this category and was placed for gold.
Jorn Ari proudly tells that the picture was taken in May 2010 in Littlebelt just outside Kongebrogaarden on 8m depth. It represents a lumpfish male which in its eagerness to defend its offspring and eggs sees its own reflection in Jorn Ari’s domeport and tries to scare this new intruding male away all while Jorn Ari shoots his pictures.

Underwater Photography.coms contest is the longest running and one of the most prestigious online.
Every January a panel of judges selects the best images entered in their online photo contest from the previous year.
Gold, silver, and bronze medals are awarded for the top three from each category in order of merit.
The judges comprise of industry professionals (and last year’s World Champ). They are unpaid, non-affiliated, and (of course) cannot enter themselves.
